Which Porsches We Work On

Air-cooled 911s are the specialty: the long hoods (1965 to 1973), the 2.7 cars, the 911 SC, the Carrera 3.2, the 930 Turbo, the 964 and the 993.

We also service water-cooled 911s, 996 through 992, plus the Boxster and Cayman. They go to the same technicians on the same equipment.

We don't take the Porsche SUVs. If you drive a Macan or Cayenne, a dealer or a general European shop is the better fit.

Porsche Service and Repair We Do in Leander

All of it happens in our own building on FM 2769, by the same people who diagnose the car.

Scheduled maintenance

Oil and filter, intermediate and major services, brake fluid, coolant, plugs, belts and filters. We start from the factory schedule, then tell you what your car needs this visit and what can wait.

Diagnostics and warning lights

Check engine lights, dash warnings, leaks, odd noises and drivability problems, including the intermittent ones. If you go ahead with the repair, the diagnostic hour comes off the bill.

AC, battery and electrical

AC that blows warm, a battery that keeps going flat, and lighting or electrical faults. We trace the fault first, then quote the fix.

Engine and gearbox repair

Oil leaks, top-end work, clutches and transmission service, plus IMS bearing replacement and retrofit on water-cooled 911s. Air-cooled flat-six rebuilds and 915 and G50 gearbox work stay in-house.

Brakes, suspension and alignment

Pads, rotors, lines and fluid. Shocks, bushings, control arms and alignment. On air-cooled cars, torsion bars, spring plates and corner balancing are routine work here.

Pre-purchase inspections

Buying a Porsche in Cedar Park, Leander or around Austin? The seller can drop the car off without you here, and we send the written report with photos straight to you.

Performance and track prep

Power upgrades, suspension setup, corner balancing and race prep, for the street or the track.

Pick the answer closest to your car and you'll see where we'd usually start. A quiz can't diagnose a car. An inspection on the lift can.

Why Leander and Cedar Park Owners Bring Their Porsches Here

Most Porsches that come in arrive with a list. A small leak the owner stopped mentioning. A noise they drive around. A quote from somewhere that never got booked.

None of it feels urgent on its own. Together, it's why a car that used to go out every weekend now sits in the garage while the other car gets driven.

Weston started Backwards Bill's after years of watching the performance industry handle budgets and timelines badly. So you get a real number and a date before anything comes apart. If something changes once the car is open, you hear about it that day, with photos, and you decide what happens next.

The person who diagnoses your car is the person who fixes it, so nothing gets relayed through a service advisor. For warranty repairs and recalls, a Porsche dealer is still the right call. For everything else, you have a Porsche specialist close to home.

"Cam and his team did a great job on setting up my 911SC suspension. It's obvious Cam has great knowledge and experience with these air cooled Porsches."

How a Service Visit Works

  • Send us the car details. Year, model, mileage and what it's doing, through the form or by phone at (512) 937-7086.
  • We scope it before we touch it. You get a written estimate with a real number and a date before anything comes apart.
  • We keep you posted while it's here. If the car needs something we didn't expect, you get a photo and a call that day. Nothing goes on the invoice you didn't approve.

Most service appointments are usually about two days out. Every visit is by appointment, drop-offs included.

What Porsche Service Costs in Leander

We quote every job before we start and don't publish a price list, because two Porsches of the same year can need very different work.

A valve adjustment on a healthy Carrera 3.2 and one on a 2.7 that has been run hard for thirty years are the same three words and two different jobs.

Send the year, model, mileage and what the car is doing, and we'll put a real number in front of you. It doesn't change without your approval, and if you go ahead with a repair, the diagnostic hour comes off the bill.

Warranty repairs and recalls generally still need to go through an authorized Porsche dealer.

We can work with many extended and third-party warranty providers. Coverage and payment steps vary by policy, so send your provider and policy details when you schedule and we'll confirm what we can handle.
